Hello everyone. The phone calls are continuing to come in, from folks who have not read this page.

Literally every day, someone calls concerned that we are going out of business for good.

I am happy to report, we are moving to our NEW LOCATION, at the end of the month.

May 28th, Memorial Day, will be our final day at the current address.

We are still selling ALL of our remaining Southerland sets for 50% off, but they are running low. Everything else is at least 25% off, as well. 

We are moving to 6601 North May Ave - a mere 8 blocks form the current location.

We have agreed to a 10 year lease with the owners of the building and could not be happier.

HOORAY !!!!!!

It was very important to Chelsea and I, that we find a place to call home for our new store. Milo is 14 months and we do not want to have to move again in 3 - 5 years. We will have twice the footage we currently have, in addition to a HUGE warehouse. 

We will vegin carrying select BUNK BEDS and various other items we did not carry before, because of lack of floor space.

Thank you to every single well wisher and card sender. It touches our heart and we have no doubt we will see you in the future at the new and improved Bed Man.

The new location starting June 1st is 6601 North May Ave - it was previously "The Scooter Store", we are right next to computer connections. Right there at the stop light just 3 blocks North of the intersection of NW 63rd May Ave.

Store Closing - but not Going out of bus

Hello everyone.

 

We have been getting a lot of phone calls, lately. I am honestly, touched. I assumed that we would recieve a few phone calls over the next 30-90 days. I did not expect a dozen in one weekend.

So I figure, I need to address this subject. 

Our lease is up at the end of July. We have been getting a very low rate for the past 3 years, which has allowed us to offer the low prices we are known for. Our rent here would increase by 45%. Therefore, we are moving to another location. We will still be the BED MAN, although we will be incorporating, more of a website based business, as well. We will still have a store front and displays and it will run the same as it does now. But, we are going to have abigger online buying possibility.

We do not know the final day for the store, but will post it here as soon as we know. A lot of things will affect the date. Such as when we sell out our current inventory. We have 3 warehouses full, that we will not be using when we move.

All of our Southerland sets are 1/2 price. Every single one of them. Almost all left are floor samples. We are busy as you can expect, so check in weekly, as will be putting more and more things out on the showroom. There are things, we have never profiled before.(remember we have 3 huge warehouses full of inventory and we dont want to move it) We want to sell all we have and then reload with all new floor samples and more specific items. We will go from offering 15 beds to 30 at the new place.

The new store WILL be on North May, but we have not signed a lease yet.

We will post the new address here as soon as we know.

We will STILL handle any and all warrantys "in house" and we will honor them at the new location. Nothing will change there.

I really, love the month of February. It is the month of Love. It is Valentines Day. It is Chocolate. Lots O' Chocolate.

It is also the month I met: Her.

She was sitting there sipping wine with her best friend on Valentines Day. She had these naturally long and beautiful eyelashes, encompassing the most hypnotic eyes, I had ever seen.

I couldn't have taken my eyes off of her, even if I wanted to. (and i didnt want to)

I may not know much, but I knew I wanted to know more about her. We had our first date, the next night: Feb 15th. The rest, as they say is history. 

I won't drag this on, this is a website for our mattress store, after all.

But, I wanted to take a few moments to recognize Love & everything that comes with it.

I couldn't imagine loving her any more than I did, but the moment she gave birth to our son, I found myself staring at her, not understanding the emotion I felt overtaking me and still, after all of these years, unable to take my eyes off of her.

Here is to Valentines Day, Love & most of all, to Her.

I love you Chels.

HAPPY 2012

I know this is my promotional page, website. But, it also gives me a forum to talk and type about, anything.

Looking back on the past few years. I have had the tragedy of losing my Mother suddenly, on Christmas morning 2009. She was 52 and had gone through so much physically the previous 5 years. While, there is never a good time to lose the person who gave you birth, we can all agree that this was way too soon.

Cut to 6 months later and I got another surprise, this one was incredible. Chelsea & I found out, we were going to be parents. Then, in March of 2011, our son Milo Henri was born healthy & has remained that way for all 10 months of his life, so far.

I wish my mother could have had a chance to be a Grandma before she passed. There are times when I reach for the phone, to call and tell her about something Milo is doing.

Sometimes, I  forget, just how lucky so many of us are. Do you ever do that?

We get mad because it is taking a few minutes longer at the bank or the grocery store. Then, when we have a few free extra minutes, we do nothing with them.

This is not a critique or meant to be a sermon.

I just want to remember to remind myself just how good I have it and that even when it isn't so good, it still isn't that bad.

 

Take care of yourself and remember to tell the ones that you love, just how much they mean to you.

It has been almost 9 months since we last had a promotional page up. lot of things are the same, but we have had some new additions to the Promo Page.

 

And speaking of additions: as most of you know, we were expecting a new addition to our family.

 

Thank you for all of the cards and phone calls and gifts. Some of them coming from people we have only met once.

 

Most people, that have previously viewed this promo page already know, that Chelsea and I, did it the "Old Fashioned" way and did not find our if we were going to need a lot of Pink or Dark Blue items for the nursery.

 

There was debate, if Chelsea and I would be able to make it the entire 9 months without finding out if we were welcoming a Boy or Girl. Well, we DID make it the entire way, without anyone knowing, including the nurses and Dr.

 

On March 4th 2011, we welcomed our first child. A very healthy boy.

Our son was 8lbs 15 oz at birth and is named: MILO HENRI MICHAEL BROWN

Mother and child are doing great.  

Thank goodness for small miracles, Milo looks just like his Mother.

From time to time, Milo comes to work with Dad and charms everyone with his smile and laugh.
