About Me
Being in the Real Estate business means a lot of my activities include volunteer events, money raisers, and just being with people.I love knowing about my city, and meeting new people moving into Oklahoma City. I try to link them to church's of their religion, clubs, schools with individual interests for each of their children, and help them research their hobbies, etc to help them settle into the community.
It is like volunteering and getting paid for it. I started my real estate career in 1983 (I am a dinosaur in the industry). Oh, I am trying to get current in the influx of computer based technology impacting my business. (A real stretch for me)
While I specialize in the high end properties, I recently attended a class in Tulsa to acquire accreditation in foreclosures, short sales and REO's. They will affect my business in the near future and I want to be armed with the training. Our City has not had the fall out to the extent the rest of the country has.
Interests:
I am just getting into gardening, (flowers). Going outside and seeing some of my 250 bulbs blooming through the seasons is so gratifying.
I am in two book clubs and enjoy reading and hearing reviews on books I would never chose, but enjoy learning about.
I have been singing in the church choir for over 10 years. It is like a big family. So supportive..
I am a member of Leadership Oklahoma City (a great source of knowledge and man power)
The 6th woman to be admitted into Rotary Club 29, (among the largest clubs in the country). I have something like 19 years perfect attendance. Another avenue to learn what is going on in Oklahoma City.
At church I have served 7 years as a Stephens Minister. That is a wonderful vehicle to help someone else. It gives wonderful rewards to both parties. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to help and interact with someone who is hurting.
