About Dogwood Gifts & Pet Salon

Dogwood Gifts & Pet Salon LLC was started in August of 2006 and is owned by Jesslyn Rhoades.  The Pet Salon is a full service salon with a great groomer.  April Lott is the groomer at the salon and has been in the grooming business for over 19 years.  She was formally with Central Park and before that Val Martins.  April took over as manager and head groomer at Dogwood in June of 2010.

The gift side of the business, known as Dogwood Gifts, is located in a different suite by the salon.  Jesslyn was one of the former owners of Purple Peacock Gifts on North May Avenue that was in business from February of 2006 until it closed in September of 2008.   The Gift Shop carries merchandise from Mark Roberts, such as his collectible Fairies and Elves along with Christmas stocking and stocking holders, Lolita Glasses and Pajamas, Glass Eye Studio, Jelly Cat stuffed animals, Punch Studio, Fringe, Franz, Music of the Spheres Chimes, Two’s Company and Herbal Delight Soy Candles just to name a few.
